sudaf_ucodep.jpgItalian Ngo working in Southafrica are not too much; maybe three or four. Ucodep is one of these ones, acting against poverty like in many other countries of the world. After supporting people of Eastern Cape to get more able to use their rights, since 2008 Ucodep has started a new serie of projects. One of these will involve students of italian and southafrican primary schools to work together; another one, started with Southafrican Ngo LFN, will support hostels for street children in East london township. Everybody can support the project: discover how on www.ucodep.org.

  • Ong italiane in Sudafrica: Ucodep

(more…)

  • Inter, campione del calcio spezzatino

    inter-siena

(more…)

  • Inter, leader of a different soccer

Milan defeated on saturday by Udinese, and Inter sure to be italian champion for 17th time, 24 hours before of meeting Siena at home. Then, Sunday night show was no exciting at all; but this is soccer, nowadays. Perhaps if both matches were played at same time, the champion exhibition could have been more interesting; but now tv (the reason of different timetable) is more important than teams, and what happens aroun the stadiums is more important than stadiums itself. Too much soccer on tv, too much gossips around it: that’s why the day after winning the title, medias talk about Inter most of all about the team that will play next year, and not about the glory of current team. That’s also why Juventus, who once owned a personal “style”, now decides to dismiss its team manager (Ranieri) with only two matches still to play. Ranieri’ second, Ciro Ferrara, has now to save a little dignity of the flag: he was World Champion in 1982, when soccer was very different from now. Maybe it will help him.

    Romina’ second life in pools

While Joburg is preparing for Confederation Cup, Rome is willing to host the Swimming World Championship. In July and august, 2009, best swimmers of the world will gather in the italian capital, where many new pools have been built (and some of them won’t be used for the show). In Rome there’ll also be Romina Armellini, a 24years old swimmer who discovered six years ago she had a thyroid cancer. (more…)
