Time to stop helping?

shak_110710.jpgDambysa Moyo says to help african nations has been often a bad remedy. Mohammad Yunus warns about profit companies who make charities. Recently, a new book from reporter Linda Polman affirmed that expeditions of Red Cross and other international rescue organizations have been sometimes corrupted by war contestants.

It doesn’t sound so good for international solidarity, in these days. And it’s not so easy to say in a few words if we agree or not with these points of view. It could be wrong to affirm that any no-profit organization is wasting moneys, and it could be wrong too to say that everyone’s good. We are monitoring some of them: anyway, we’d like to close this very special year for Southafrica with a positive example.

(more…)

  • Aiutare l’Africa. O no?

(more…)
